The Millennium Seed Bank's Head of Technology and Training, Robin Probert explains the way seeds are collected, stored, dried, cleaned and even x-rayed. Once stored, some will be taken out and grown to check the collection is still viable and this process will reveal a wealth of important information to be shared with our partners around the world. The Millennium Seed Bank project works with over a hundred partners in 54 countries around the world helping protect the planet's biodiversity.

The Marianne North Gallery in Kew Gardens is the only gallery in the UK in which all the work on display was produced by one female artist. The gallery was re-opened in 2009 after a full architectural refurbishment, restoration of the paintings and the addition of interpretation tools. The film features words from curators who worked on this project and footage from the gallery's Community Outreach Celebration Day on October 11th 2009.

Kew gardener Lucy Hart discusses the garden's re-design, and how it represents the important horticultural, historical and conservation plants linked with Kew Gardens. The garden was re-opened in July 2009 by Princess Alexander and was attended by Kew Directors from past years, who share with us their personal favourites.
